What we have done

• The site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link
• Text meets WCAG 2.2 AA colour contrast guidance
• Every form field has a label, and images and icons have text alternatives
• Pages are marked as British English so screen readers pronounce them correctly
• Animations are reduced if you have turned on reduced motion on your device
• The layout works on phones and when text is enlarged to 200%

Known limitations

Some official documents in our News section are PDFs published by the UK Government and may not be fully accessible. Where GOV.UK publishes an HTML version, we show the full text on the page.
